What is This Event?

Please join Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm at the Midwest Industrial Energy Efficiency Exchange, which will facilitate implementation of energy efficiency capital projects for the industrial sector. During this event, you will be able to speak with those presenting available financial and technical resources from federal, regional, state, and non-governmental sources. The Exchange will also provide a venue for those with resources to help lower regional industrial energy intensity and related carbon emissions. Industry is a vital component of the Midwest’s economy, as it accounts for 4 million jobs and 16 percent of the region’s Gross Domestic Product. It also accounts for 35 percent of regional energy consumption and 16 percent of carbon emissions. Please be advised that registration is first come, first served

Webcast

Those unable to travel to the event will be able to watch the morning portion via live Webcast which will cover industry needs and challenges, available financial assistance, and available technical assistance. Information for logging onto the Webcast will be e-mailed to participants after they register. Instructions will also be posted to the "Webinar" tab on this Web site one week before the event.


Handbook of Regional Resources

A handbook of financial and technical resources for industrial energy efficiency projects in the region will be distributed at the Midwest Exchange. A printable list of participating companies with resources will be provided under the "Regional Resources" tab.
